It started from a story that I heard a long time ago.
The story of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Sadako was a little girl who was exposed to radiation when the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima during WWII. Although she survived the bomb, she was diagnosed with leukemia and decided to fold 1,000 cranes in the hope that she would be granted a wish for good health.
Unfortunately, Sadako passed away before she could finish her thousand cranes. But her story inspired others to fold cranes in her memory, as a symbol of Peace and Hope.
PEACE AND LOVE NOT WARS.
This is why I turn origami cranes into jewelry. I hope my jewelry will bring good luck and peace to you.
